Grain Handling And Processing

Commodities such as soybeans, coffee, cocoa, corn and rice are very abrasive products to transport and process, eroding stainless or carbon steel storage and handling equipment prematurely. Mills processing dry animal feed experience similar problems. CerCo's alumina ceramic linings solve these problems by extending equipment life and preventing costly production delays and expensive repairs.

High-purity alumina ceramic has no contaminants that can leach into food products, won't oxidize and is easy to clean. It can be installed using adhesives or epoxies in highly combustible areas where spot-welding of steel would be hazardous.

Proven to add value in aftermarket applications, CerCo's alumina ceramic linings reduce wear in many situations. Pre-matted hextile provides low-cost, easy-to-install protection of concave and convex curved surfaces. Thin tiles (1/8" or 1/4") offer low-weight protection without reducing volume. CerCo's Aluma-Plate® epoxy resin and hardener kits contain a high concentration of Aluma-Sand® alumina beads. Aluma-Plate is easy to install and creates an abrasion-resistant coating for complex surfaces, and also can be used for repairs.

CerCo's s wear-resistant alumina ceramic linings add life and value to:

  • Chutes
  • Hoppers
  • Ducting
  • Cyclones
  • Separators
  • Vibrating Feeders
  • Silos
  • Conveyor Systems
  • Milling Equipment

Wherever sliding abrasion. erosion or corrosion is a problem...

CerCo' s ceramic tiles are available in a variety of standard and custom-engineered sizes, shapes and pre-engineered designs in plain, weldable and mechanically interlocking tiles.
